Don’t put those election signs at the curb for garbage collection — they won’t be picked up.

Take them to a Peel Community Recycling Centre, free of charge.

For residents to have drop-off fees waived, they must:

  • separate the sign’s corrugated plastic, paperboard and plastic film from its hardware (e.g. metal, wooden stakes, staples)
  • keep signs detached from other recycling and waste materials

Keep in mind, the candidate’s campaign office must remove all signs. Here are the deadlines:

  • Mississauga and Caledon: 11:59 p.m. on Wed. Oct. 21
  • Brampton: 8 p.m. on Thu. Oct. 22
