A 20-year-old Mississauga man is charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of his mother.
“We’re not going to speak to the cause of death until after the post-mortem,” said Peel Regional Police Const. Lilly Fitzpatrick.
Cops responded to a violent domestic call on Southfork Dr., near Mavis Rd. and Bristol Rd. W. at 5:45 p.m. Saturday.
Vaishali Patel, 41, was treated by paramedics and rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries. She died in hospital Sunday.
The victim’s son was arrested at the scene. Both lived in the home.
Kunal Bhavan is charged with second-degree murder and was scheduled to appear in court today for a bail hearing. There are no other suspects.
