Two free events for seniors are taking place Monday, Nov. 2.
The Healthy Living and Wellness Fair takes place at the Clarkson Community Centre from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Seniors are invited to try out fitness programs, visit more than 25 community vendor booths and enjoy a variety of live demonstrations. Participants can sample a free pool therapy class, so bring a swimsuit and towel.
As part of Crime Prevention Week , Peel police are offering a comprehensive learning session for seniors from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The session, in the auditorium at 1389 Cawthra Rd., is open to anyone interested in protecting themselves, their loved ones and the community.
Topics include: Personal safety and property protection; distraction theft; fraud and current scams; cyber safety. Light afternoon refreshments will be provided. Sign up in person at the Mississauga Seniors’ Centre, online here, or by calling (905) 453-3311 ext. 4021.
