A Mississauga kayaker has died in hospital after police recovered his body in Lake Ontario near Toronto’s Tommy Thompson Park Saturday morning.
“Located at Leslie Street spit?!!!!!! The power of the lake is incredible. So sad,” wrote one Facebook user as condolences poured in online Sunday.
Timothy Kelley, 36, was last seen Oct. 29 before he went down the Credit River, launching from Erindale Park around 8 a.m.
The South Millway resident was in “grave condition,” said Peel police.
Toronto paramedics treated and transported Kelley to a Toronto hospital where he remained with family. Kelley was pronounced dead in hospital on Saturday. Anyone with information can call investigators at (905) 453–2121 ext. 1133.
