A 21-year-old Mississauga man has been arrested on child porn charges and police are asking anyone with suspicions about him to come forward.
“We don’t have any reason to think that he personally violated any children,” said Peel Regional Police Const. Lilly Fitzpatrick, adding the “mere act of accessing and viewing it does violate” kids.
The Internet Child Exploitation unit has been working on the file for months.
Investigators invited the man – who does not work with or coach children – to a meeting on Nov. 12 and cuffed him.
The man’s computer has been seized.
Steve Sunny is charged with possessing child pornography, making child pornography available, and accessing child pornography.
He appeared in Brampton court yesterday.
Investigators are concerned there could be more victims and want witnesses to come forward with any information, regardless of how dated or insignificant it may seem.
