Charitable acts are dominating conversation today as citywide events are taking place for Giving Tuesday. Here’s how to participate:

Clarkson – The Anchorage at Bradley Museum
Non-perishable food items will be donated to Armagh House, which provides housing for abused women and children. Items can be dropped off from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Port Credit – Great Canadian Pizza will donate a percentage of sales from each slice, and $1 from each pizza sold, to Connect 4 Life, an online radio station for people with disabilities and their allies.

Port Credit Lighthouse
The Port Credit BIA will be ‘lighting the lighthouse’ with live music, refreshments, cookies, chestnuts, a corn roast, plus a surprise visit from Santa from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Canned goods and toiletries are being donated to the Compass Food Bank.

Can’t make it to an event? You can also take part online. For every $2 donated, the Mississauga Food Bank is able to distribute five meals to hungry children, families and seniors.
