Four people were rescued from a burning townhome’s third-floor window in central Mississauga Sunday.

Two adults and two children were trapped when fire broke out at 8:30 a.m., sending crews to 180 Mississauga Valley Blvd.
“We’re not sure where that fire started,” said Mississauga Fire Platoon Chief Mike Corcoran, adding investigators were on scene.
Paramedics treated the victims, who were taken to hospital for smoke inhalation.
It was a busy morning for firefighters, who rushed to 9 Wesley Ave. in Port Credit at 6:10 a.m.
“The fire started on the deck at the rear of the house,” said Corcoran, noting it’s not suspicious.
The residents escaped the second-alarm blaze and no injuries were reported.

Lakeshore Rd. was closed to allow firefighters access to hoses, said Peel Police Const. George Tudos.

Damage estimates for the homes weren’t yet available, Corcoran said.
The cause is under investigation.
