Spring is starting with a wintry blast.
Between five to 10 cms of snow is predicted for Mississauga, with some parts of the GTA seeing more.
A special weather statement for Halton-Peel was issued by Environment Canada at 11 a.m. Sunday, predicting snow this afternoon or early evening.
“The snow could be heavy at times tonight with 10 to 15 centimetres possible before tapering off Monday morning,” reads the statement.

Gusty winds could result in blowing snow locally.
Sunday’s predicted high in Mississauga is -1 C with a 40 per cent chance of flurries.
Road conditions will likely worsen with reduced visibility.

Snow is expected to taper off early Monday, with a mix of sun and cloud moving in.
The expected high is -1 C.
