
A prisoner who escaped police custody is once again in handcuffs, Peel Police confirmed Saturday afternoon.
Diyana Mohamed, 19, was arrested in Toronto by 1 p.m. after allegedly fleeing a Brampton hospital a day prior. She’s now facing a new charge for escaping lawful custody.
The woman was in custody for assault with a weapon, uttering death threats, and theft under $5,000.
Mohamed was last seen at 2:51 p.m. Friday leaving in a taxi with an unknown male, and they were last spotted at the Kipling bus terminal in west Toronto.
Tyler Obrien, 18, of Toronto is charged with assist to escape lawful custody.
Mohamed and Obrien are scheduled to appear in Brampton court Sunday.
