Suspect wanted in Malton, Meadowvale gunpoint robberies

Police are asking the public to identify a man they believe is responsible for two armed robberies – within three days – in Malton and Meadowvale.
The first incident took place Feb. 1 at 4:44 a.m. in a gas station near Rexwood Rd.
The gun-toting suspect made a demand for cash, fleeing on foot.
A convenience store at Derry Rd. and Glen Erin Dr. was targeted on Feb. 4 at 9:40 a.m. by a suspect again demanding cash — this time fleeing empty-handed.

The man is described as black, 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8, with a slim to medium build and a beard.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the central robbery bureau at (905) 453-2121 ext. 3410 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
