A post-mortem examination is being conducted following the discovery of a body near Erindale Park.
“There’s absolutely no I.D. that has been made as of yet,” said Peel Regional Police Const. Rachel Gibbs.
“The investigation is in its preliminary stages and investigators are working on identifying the deceased person.”
The body has been removed, however, police remained on scene Thursday.
A 911 call came in around 11 a.m. Wednesday by someone working in the area who found the body near Credit Heights Dr. and Rooney Gate.
There’s no indication of foul play, said Gibbs, noting “the deceased has been there for an extended period of time.”
Police say there are no public safety concerns.
