A Mississauga man has died of his injuries after being pulled from an apartment fire.
Frederick Staines, 55, was pronounced dead in hospital on Jan. 13, say Peel police.

The blaze broke out on Jan. 11 around 11:20 a.m. at 620 Lolita Gardens, near Cawthra Rd. and Dundas St. E.
That’s where Staines was living alone, in apartment 1010.
Fire crews found Staines without vital signs. Paramedics treated Staines before transporting him to hospital in critical condition.
Police say the fire began in the kitchen and there doesn’t appear to be any criminal intent or threat to public safety.
