A 19-year-old man is in hospital with non-life threatening injuries after he was hit by a vehicle in Cooksville Thursday morning — along with four other pedestrians in separate incidents across Mississauga and Brampton.
“Whether you’re driving or on foot, be cautious when entering an intersection,” said Peel Regional Police Const. Bancroft Wright.
“It’s a shared responsibility.”
Five pedestrians were struck between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m., said Wright.

The man in Cooksville was walking near Confederation Pkwy. and Paisley Blvd. when he was hit at 7:21 a.m.
The driver remained on scene.
The victim was transported to hospital.
It’s unclear if charges will be laid.
