A 51-year-old Belleville man has been arrested in Peel after an undercover police officer posed online as a teen girl.
The man allegedly engaged in sexually explicit conversations with the officer, who was pretending to be 13, over several weeks.
The officer, from the Internet Child Exploitation unit, began conversing with the man via an Internet chat channel on Oct. 13.
During the online chats, police said, the man continued to express interest in meeting in person for a sexual purpose.
On Nov. 4 the man thought he was going to see the girl in the Mississauga area.
The man arrived at the undisclosed location and was instead arrested and charged by police.
Calvin Parker is charged with luring to commit invitation to sexual touching and luring to commit indecent act.
He appeared in court Nov. 5.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone believing they may have had contact with the suspect is asked to contact police at (905) 453-2121 ext.3490 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
