Cops are asking for the public’s help after a sex assault in Clarkson early Friday.
A 36-year-old woman was attacked while walking near Southdown Rd. and Truscott Dr. at 2:45 a.m.
“We’re looking for anybody that may have seen anything suspicious,” said Peel Regional Police Const. Thomas Ruttan.
The woman lives nearby.
The special victims unit is investigating.
Police are reminding people to be aware of their surroundings and report any suspicious persons or activity; have a cell phone readily accessible in case of an emergency; and make sure someone knows your route when walking; try to stay in well-lit areas, and if possible, walk with a partner.
The suspect is a white man standing 6-feet-tall with a thin build and shaggy ear length hair.
He was wearing a baggy black hoodie and baggy dark jeans.
