Peel Police will be live-tweeting from the beat for the first time today. “My eyes are going to hurt,” said public information officer Const. George Tudos.
So will his hands.
Tudos will be heading out with patrol officers from Mississauga’s 12 division starting at 3 p.m. Wednesday until 3 a.m. Thursday.
The goal, Tudos said, is to show the community how officers spend a shift. Anything compromising an investigation, risking public safety or violating privacy will be omitted.
“Really, we just want to give them an idea of what it’s like,” said Tudos.
He’s armed with two cell phone batteries, a charger and a camera with extra batteries.
Tudos will be live-tweeting again on Friday from 21 division, covering Malton and Brampton.
