Tactical officers were sent to Square One – looking for a suspect possibly armed with a gun – after a Boxing Day fight in the mall parking lot.
The dispute, caught on cell phone video, was over a parking spot, “which could’ve been avoided if people packed some patience, or self-control,” said Peel Police Const. George Tudos.
Thousands of shoppers were taking part in the annual day-after-Christmas-deal-hunting tradition.
Police were called to the central Mississauga mall around 1:30 p.m. Saturday, where three to four suspects had fled on foot.
The victim had minor injuries and was treated by paramedics.
Two boys – whose identities are protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act – were arrested about an hour later. Officers are looking for a third suspect, described as a black male.
