A 27-year-old Mississauga woman is facing charges in connection with a fatal hit-and-run in Toronto.

A man, 63, was struck late Wednesday while crossing Danforth Ave. at Gillard Ave., and police allege the driver bolted.

The victim was pronounced dead in hospital.

Meron Guizzardi has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death, criminal negligence causing death, and failing to stop at a scene of an accident causing death.

She’s scheduled to appear in Toronto court January 1.
