Mississauga’s newest millionaire says he’s going shopping for a boat.
Francisco Mejias-Rogers scored $1 million with the Feb. 5 Lotto Max draw.
“I checked my ticket Sunday morning during breakfast while my wife and I were discussing plans for her birthday,” said Mejias-Rogers while at the OLG prize centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings.
“When the numbers on the Maxmillions list started to match, we couldn’t believe our eyes.”
The construction worker and father of two said he’s thinking about a fun purchase.
“The morning we checked the ticket, we were already discussing buying a boat,” he said.
“I will also help my daughter with college.”
The winning ticket was bought at an Esso gas station on Woodbine Ave. in Markham.
