Ontario Provincial Police are asking witnesses to come forward after a collision on the QEW at Hurontario St.
A detached tire crossed the median on Sunday, striking a vehicle travelling in the opposite direction, say police, adding no one in those vehicles were injured.
The incident took place at 11:30 a.m.
But the driver of another eastbound vehicle was hurt after taking evasive action to avoid the tire, losing control and striking the centre median.
This driver was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to phone the Port Credit detachment at 905-278-6131.
