A 28-year-old Mississauga man is facing charges in connection with a series of retail robberies and thefts in Toronto.
The suspect was charged on Sunday in relation to five incidents in the Danforth Ave. and Pharmacy Ave. area between Oct. 26, 2015 and Feb. 14.
Toronto Police allege the man entered retail outlets covering his face with a scarf, and immediately vaulted over the counter.
The man “encountered the employee, gained access to the cash register, and obtained a quantity of money,” according to police.
On two occasions, when the employee was busy elsewhere in the store, the accused went behind the counter, opened the till, and removed a quantity of cash.
