A suspected impaired driver who fled the scene with his pit bull is in custody following a fail to remain collision in Port Credit Thursday evening.
The man will be charged, said Peel Regional Police Const. George Tudos.
Officers responded to a call around 8 p.m. at Lakeshore Rd. E. and Stavebank Rd.
Other vehicles and property were damaged.
The suspect, a man in his 30s, was located by 8:45 p.m. thanks to the help of police dogs.
As for the pit bull, “we called animal control,” said Tudos.
