
More than 1,000 volunteer roles are being filled for the Ontario Summer Games taking place August 11 to 14.
Athletes ages 13 to 17 will be competing in 34 events – such as kickboxing, beach volleyball, and sailing – at 20 locations across Mississauga and the Greater Toronto Area.
Volunteers will be part of the largest event in Ontario Games history, welcoming 3,500 athletes, 500 officials, 700 coaches and managers and many spectators to Mississauga, the host city.
Roles vary and may include welcoming athletes, their families and coaches, working at Games venues, providing information for spectators and helping members of the media and dignitaries.
All OSG volunteers must:
· be 16 years of age or older
· pass a Police Vulnerable Records Check
· be available during August 11 to 14 inclusive;
· available to attend an orientation session on one of the following evenings: July 25, 26, or 27.
