A man is in custody for allegedly driving while impaired in south Mississauga Tuesday night.
Peel Police received a call at 7:54 p.m. after a vehicle hit a pole on Hurontario St. north of Mineola Rd.
“The vehicle was smoking,” said Sgt. Matt Small.
The suspect, in his fifties, was arrested.
A stretch of Hurontario was closed while police were investigating.
Enersource was en route around 9 .m. to deal with lowered wires, said Small, and there’s no word yet on charges.
The road were cleared around 3 a.m. Wednesday.
