An Etobicoke man is facing drunk driving charges in relation to a three-vehicle crash in south Mississauga Tuesday which ended with a SUV straddling the guardrail.
“That’s the first time I’ve seen a vehicle up on the guardrail,” said OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt.
Officers from the Port Credit detachment responded to a call along the eastbound QEW, west of Hurontario St. at 8:30 p.m.
Witnesses reported one of the vehicles was travelling erratically before colliding with two vehicles, say police.
“Now he did have his front tire ripped out of the vehicle as well when he struck the first car and then he struck another car that was trying to get out of his way,” said Schmidt.
“So how he came to where he was is — I don’t know how to describe it.”

The driver was arrested and the other two drivers weren’t injured, said Schmidt.
Scott Christopher Hall, 37, is charged with impaired driving, failing to comply with recognizance, and dangerous driving.
