A Halifax man is likely facing charges after $325,000 in cash – allegedly proceeds of crime – was seized at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport.
Peel Police officers began investigating on Apr. 4 when an unclaimed piece of luggage on the baggage carousel in Terminal 3 drew suspicion.
Officers allege finding several plastic bags containing bulk Canadian cash, with the bag testing positive for drug residue.
The Mounties were brought in to investigate and the suspect was arrested at the Vancouver Airport.
Charges haven’t yet been laid.
