A 52-year-old North York man listed a cat for sale online to lure a woman so he could drug then sexually assault her, say Toronto Police.
Officers were dispatched to the Yonge St. and Finch Ave. area on May 26.
Police allege a woman, 26, replied to a Kijiji ad for a cat, then went to meet the seller.
The woman agreed to buy the cat then had food and drinks with the man, say police, falling sick. She was “led to his bedroom where he sexually assaulted her,” according to police.
Ghenadie Carpov was arrested and charged with sexual assault and administering a noxious substance.
He appeared in court last Friday.
