The province’s Special Investigations Unit is investigating after a Brampton shootout involving Peel Police and a 24-year-old man.
Officers were dispatched to a disturbance after midnight at a Newhaven Manor housing complex, near N. Park Dr.
That’s in the Hwy. 410 and Williams Pkwy. area.
The man was confronted by police.
A brief foot chase ensued and shots were fired between police and the man.
The man is in critical condition at Sunnybrook following surgery.
