UPDATED: Scotiabank robbed at Mavis-Eglinton

Police dogs were tracking a suspected bank robber at a townhouse complex near Mavis Rd. and Eglinton Ave. W. Tuesday afternoon after the Scotiabank closeby was held up.
Peel Police are at 675 Huntington Ridge Dr.
Don’t approach if you see him, said Const. Mark Fischer, and call 911.

No injuries were reported during the heist around 1 p.m.
The suspect passed the teller a note saying he had a gun, although no weapon was seen.
The man made off with cash.
The suspect is black, standing six-feet with a medium build.
He’s wearing a red, white and black sweater, a black ball cap, and sunglasses. Tips can be directed to central robbery investigators at (905) 453-2121 ext. 3410 or Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-8477.
