Potters, jewellers, glass artists, and more will be offering up their one-of-a-kind goods at the fifth annual Art in the Yard sale in Port Credit Saturday.

“We really should call it Art in Two Yards,” said organizer Nancy Sweete.
“I think it’s really neat that word of mouth has drawn so many people to us.”
The art and craft show, held in Sweete’s garden, was borne from rejection.
A friend who’s a silversmith applied for a downtown venue and wasn’t accepted, she said.
They decided to do their own, starting with eight or nine exhibitors.
Although her friend, Rick Martin, died of brain cancer, she’s continuing on.
There are now about 20 artists participating.
At Christmas craft shows, “you look to make money,” said Sweete, adding this event is “to connect with other artists and to have fun.”
The event runs from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at 47 Mississauga Rd. S. and around the corner at 34 Peter St. S.
