Suspected impaired driver caught in Clarkson Village

A man is in custody after allegedly driving while impaired in south Mississauga Friday.

“He was taken to the division,” said Const. Mark Fischer.
Peel Police received a 911 call at 6:36 p.m. about a man behind the wheel of a beige Cadillac swerving into oncoming traffic on Lakeshore Rd. W. near Maple Ave.
Officers quickly spotted the man, heading westbound, arresting him near the HomeSense plaza in Clarkson Village.
“There were three police cars that circled the car to stop it,” said a QEW South Post reader who witnessed the takedown.
Charges are pending.
