Mississauga ‘religious healer’ charged with sex crimes

A 37-year-old Mississauga man who calls himself a religious healer is facing charges for allegedly sexually assaulting two young women over eight years.
Peel Police arrested the suspect on June 17.
Investigators say the man primarily targets followers and adherents of Sufism. He works in Brampton, Mississauga, and Burlington — specifically the Guelph Line and QEW area.
The alleged victims are a girl, 15, and 20-year-old woman who began being abused in 2008.
Syed Ahmed Amir Khan, also known as Sayyid Ahmed Amiruddin, is charged with two counts of sexual assault, two counts of extortion, two counts of non-consensual distribution of intimate images, and sexual exploitation.
The special victims unit is concerned there may be more victims.
