Police are looking for witnesses as a pedestrian clings to life after she was struck by a truck in central Mississauga Saturday morning.
“No one stuck around” at Hurontario St. and Eglinton Ave., said Const. Bally Saini.
A 58-year-old Mississauga woman is in a Toronto trauma unit in life-threatening condition following an attempt to cross Eglinton around 8:20 a.m.

The driver of the truck – a black Peterbilt tractor without the trailer – remained at the scene, said Saini, and was turning onto Eglinton at the time of the collision.
The busy intersection was closed for hours.
The major collision bureau is investigating. Tips can be directed to 905) 453-2121 ext. 3710 or Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-8477.
