A Toronto karate and dance instructor who teaches in Peel and Halton regions is facing charges for allegedly sexually assaulting a nine-year-old girl.
Police allege the victim was assaulted on numerous occasion “while alone with the accused.”
The suspect owns Rayat Karate in Brampton, near Bovaird Dr. and Williams Pkwy., according to police, and teaches in Mississauga, Burlington and Toronto.
The man was arrested by Peel’s special victims unit over the weekend.
Satnam Rayat, 57, is charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, and invitation to sexual touching.
Investigators are asking anyone who may have had contact with the accused to phone 905-453-2121 ext. 3460 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
