UPDATED: Homicide detectives investigate fatal stabbing in downtown Mississauga

A man found dead – with multiple stab wounds – in downtown Mississauga has been identified by Peel police Thursday.

An injured person was reported by condominium staff in the underground garage at Grand Park Dr. and Burnhamthorpe Rd. around 1:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Officers were dispatched to a medical call at 3985 Grand Park — the 28-storey tower between Mavis Rd. and Confederation Pkwy.
The victim, with obvious signs of trauma, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post-mortem examination will determine cause of death, said Const. Paolo Carretta.
