Police are searching for one suspect – considered armed and dangerous – after a 33-year-old man was shot in south Mississauga Tuesday night.
“When we attended, we located a male suffering from gunshot wounds and he has since been taken to local hospital in life-threatening condition,” said Peel Regional Police Const. Rachel Gibbs.
Officers were dispatched to an apartment building in Cooksville, near North Service Rd. and Camilla Rd., at 8:41 p.m. for reports of shots fired.
The victim is from Mississauga. He was treated by paramedics before being taken to local hospital. He’s now in a Toronto trauma unit.
The suspect is a man in his 20s, standing 5-foot-9, wearing a grey hooded sweater.
The man shouldn’t be approached if spotted, warn police.
Investigators are calling the shooting an isolated incident.
