An elderly man is in hospital with a serious head injury after being struck by a vehicle in the South Common area Monday evening.
“We had three collisions in six minutes,” said Peel Regional Police Const. Paolo Carretta.
Emergency crews rushed to Glen Erin Dr. and The Collegeway at 5:44 p.m., where they found the pedestrian.
Paramedics transported the victim to local hospital.
Northbound Glen Erin is closed at The Collegeway as officers investigate, said Carretta.
Across town at the exact same time, a MiWay bus hit a bus shelter in the Syntex Dr. and Meadowvale Blvd. area.
A 48-year-old man has minor injuries.
It’s unclear if he’s a passenger, said Carretta.
Minutes earlier, a male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in City Centre at 5:38 p.m. near Enfield Pl. and Kariya Dr.
He also has minor injuries.
