A Mississauga boy is facing charges after a police dog tracked him down following an armed robbery in the Park Royal plaza.
The incident took place around 10:50 p.m. Friday near Truscott Dr. and Seagull Dr.
“The culprit made a demand for cash and was confronted by the victim,” said Peel Regional Police Const. Paolo Carretta.
The suspect, who allegedly had a knife, fled on foot. No injuries were reported.
Canine and uniform officers found him a short time later.
The boy is being charged with robbery and breach of recognizance.
The suspect’s identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
He’ll likely appear in Brampton court Saturday.

A boy? What is his age 15? That is not a boy that is a young man who wielded a knife. Because our laws are ridiculous in protecting so called minors, doesn’t mean we lessen the identity of the accused.
