A woman accused of abducting her son in Germany was arrested in Port Credit on Wednesday following a seven-month search.

Tips led the Toronto Police fugitive squad to a home near Lakeshore Rd. E. and Hurontario St. where Bettina Neumann, 43, was cuffed.

It’s believed the woman fled Germany with her son and came to Toronto last February.

She’s likely facing charges for evading a court order and unlawful abduction.

Neumann is in custody at the Vanier Centre for Women in Milton.

The boy’s father arrived in Canada a few days ago. The child is in good health, police said.
