Attempted murder and kidnapping charges have been laid against two Toronto men in their 20s following a spate of gunfire on Stokes Rd. in Brampton over the weekend.
A Peel cop and civilian who were shot have been released from hospital as police continue hunting another suspect.
The officer was responding to a 911 call at 10:20 p.m. Friday on Stokes Rd., north of Steeles Ave. W. near Chinguacousy Rd.
Several shots were fired at the officer as he got out of his cruiser. He was hit by one bullet and managed to drive away and get help, while the civilian was shot prior to police arrival, cops said.
Three suspects were arrested by Saturday morning.
Christopher Osborne, 25, and Tyrel Nicholson, 23, are charged with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of kidnapping and numerous firearms-related offences.
Osborne appeared in Brampton court on Oct. 17, followed by Nicholson on Oct. 18.
Cops are urging the fourth suspect, who’s armed and dangerous, to find a lawyer and turn himself in.
