A 17-year-old Mississauga girl is facing an attempted murder charge after a stabbing in Port Credit sent a young man to hospital on New Year’s Eve.

Peel Police responded to a call at Seneca Ave. and Lakeshore Rd. E. just before 6 a.m., where an 18-year-old man had been stabbed.
A resident from 1051 Seneca Ave. told the South Post he saw three teens leaving a ground floor apartment around the same time.
The man, who staggered from the building to a nearby plaza, suffered serious injuries and underwent surgery at a Toronto trauma unit. His injuries are no longer life-threatening.
The girl – whose identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act – was arrested and charged Monday with attempted murder and breach of probation. She was scheduled in Brampton court Tuesday for a bail hearing.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police at (905) 453-2121 ext. 1233 or Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-8477.
