Witnesses are asked to contact police after a crash in Applewood Heights sent a 17-year-old boy to hospital with critical injuries.
Peel Police and paramedics responded to a call at 8:06 a.m. Wednesday, finding a grey four-door Volkswagen Jetta which hit a tree at Queen Frederica Dr. and Westerdam Rd. That’s near Dixie and Dundas roads.
Four 17-year-olds were in the 2006 Jetta but only the boy was injured.
Paramedics rushed the teen to a local hospital, where he remained in critical condition Thursday.
Green cones used by police to track movement showed the Jetta was heading southbound on Queen Frederica; no other vehicles were involved.
The major collision bureau is investigating. Anyone with information is asked to phone (905) 453-2121 ext. 3710 or Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-8477.
