
A 25-year-old Mississauga man is facing 10 charges – including attempted murder – in connection with a drive-by shooting.
Toronto Police allege a man in a car pulled up, opening fire on a man in another car in the St. Clair Ave. W. and Laughton Ave. area on March 19 at 5 p.m.
No injuries were reported.
A suspect was arrested on March 22, with police seizing a .45 calibre Glock pistol and ammunition.
John Filian-Jimenez is charged with: discharge firearm with intent to wound; attempt murder; pointing a firearm; careless storage of a firearm; unauthorized possession of a firearm; possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized; possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition; unauthorized possession of ammunition; possession of ammunition knowing its possession is prohibited; possession of a firearm obtained by crime.
He was scheduled to appear in Toronto court at Old City Hall on Wednesday.
