
A 16-year-old Brampton boy is facing charges in connection with a shooting which sent a man to the trauma unit.
Peel Police arrested and charged the teen Monday following the May 12 incident.
That’s when the victim was walking along a path near Williams Pkwy. and Main St. at 9:40 p.m.
A suspect – riding a bike – fired at him before fleeing, said police.
The victim, a Brampton man, 32, was struck by the round and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The teen’s identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
He appeared in court Tuesday and is charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and several firearms-related offences.
