A Lakeview family was forced to evacuate their home following a blaze Wednesday night.
“Fortunately, they were able to get out and and no one got hurt. That’s good news,” said Mississauga Fire Platoon Chief Stephane Malo.
The 911 call came in at 9:40 p.m. for a house fire at 680 Montbeck Cr., east of Cawthra Rd. and Lakeshore Rd. E.
“The fire seemed to be contained to the roof area,” said Malo.
“The interior of the house itself, there’s very little damage.”
As of 11 p.m., it’s unclear if the family will be displaced for the night.
Fire crews were checking hotspots, said Peel Police Const. Bally Saini.
A damage estimate has yet to be determined and the cause is under investigation.
