A 41-year-old man is dead and the province’s Special Investigations Unit is probing the circumstances surrounding a fatal crash between a motorcycle and a Peel Regional Police cruiser.
The collision took place just before 7 p.m. Sunday.
That’s when the motorcyclist was heading north on Tomken Rd. near Derry Rd.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
It’s unclear if the cruiser was pursuing the motorcycle.
The SIU, an arm’s length agency which investigates reports involving police where there has been death, serious injury or allegations of sexual assault, is urging witnesses to phone the lead investigator at 1-800-787-8529.
