A 22-year-old Brampton father is facing an aggravated assault charge after his four-month-old baby boy suffered “horrific injuries” and is left in a “coma-like state.”
Peel Police allege the victim was in the care of the accused at his home in the Dixie Rd. and Queen St. area. on July 1.
Other family members noticed the injuries the next day. Police were then called in at the hospital.
The baby has bruising all over his body, according to a source, and scans were performed, leading to the baby being transferred to Sick Kids where he remains in serious but stable condition.
Klintom Villaruz was arrested July 3.
He’s scheduled to appear in Brampton court Friday.
