One person in is hospital – with a suspect in police custody – following a stabbing in south Mississauga Monday.

An altercation took place between two people around 5:30 p.m. in the Cawthra Rd. and Dundas St. E. area, said Peel Police Const. Rachel Gibbs.

Paramedics treated a male victim for serious injuries.

He’s now in a Toronto trauma unit.

The suspect, also male, was arrested and charges are pending.
