UPDATED: Hundreds of drivers charged by OPP over long weekend

Nearly 500 drivers were charged during a traffic enforcement campaign over the Civic Day long weekend, say OPP.
Officers were targeting highways during the Slow Down, Move Over campaign.
More than 450 drivers are facing Highway Traffic Act charges, bringing the total number of charges in 2016 to roughly 1,300.
In addition, Operation Dry Water saw OPP marine officers checking boats on waterways Ontario-wide, promoting safe and sober boating.
Officers laid more than 180 alcohol and other marine-related charges.
A few dozen warnings and charges were laid on Lake Ontario by Peel Police, said Sgt. Josh Colley .
