Mississauga teen facing 44 charges in robbery investigation

A 19-year-old Mississauga man is facing 44 charges in connection with a slew of robberies across the GTA and Collingwood.
Toronto Police allege the robberies began northwest of Toronto on Nov. 6, continuing across the province until Nov. 22.
Officers say the suspect is linked to seven financial robberies, two retail robberies and several car thefts, gas thefts and vehicle pursuits with police in different jurisdictions, including Peel.
Nine vehicle were allegedly stolen in Toronto, Vaughan, Bolton, Caledon, and Collingwood, and police believe the suspect was involved in fail-to-remain crashes.
Finally, police say the man was in a stolen vehicle along The Queensway when he was arrested in Etobicoke Nov. 23.
Joseph Ross is charged in relation to five bank robberies in Peel, in addition to 39 more charges.
He’s scheduled to appear in court Dec. 1.
